Why We Love Her
Mochachino has brought such a joy to our breeding program and our home! She is a pup out of Rosie and Kyle and she has the best of them both. She has stolen our hearts and the hearts of those who meet her.
From the beginning, she has always been a cuddle, she’s that dog that will get up with you in the morning, but will also be okay if you want to sleep in. I often find her sneaking a peak at me with one eye, as she’s curled up on the couch, she’s pretending to be asleep, and wants to see if she’s getting away with it.
Temperament & Personality
Mocha is confident and balanced. She pays attention to strangers, as the breed was bred for, but she warms up to people quickly. She loves to sit on the couch or go on a road trip with us. She’s easy-going and playful, great with puppies and older dogs alike.
Color & Health
Mochachino is considered a Fawn Tri Piebald (white with patches of color). Her coloring and patterning are all recessive and the puppy colors and pattern will be dictated by the stud she’s bred to. We generally plan breeding her to Joey.
Mocha is clear of all genetic abnormalities we can test for. She has good hips.
What She Brings to the Program
From a breeding standpoint, Mochachino is a favorite. Not only do people love her coloring, but, what’s better, is her temperament and structure. She is very balanced in muscle tone, with great shoulders, and rear angulation (hard to find in Rat Terriers sometimes). She is very healthy and an easy-keeper. She is a great mama and takes wonderful care of her puppies.
Born on Cinco de Mayo!
Mochachino was born on the Cinco de Mayo (May 5), so naturally we figured she would be a bit of a party girl. She loves it when we have people over, especially for the kids’ birthdays, she finds a lap to sit on and if you aren’t looking she may try and steal a piece of birthday cake.
She’s also been a great addition to our Halloween Trick-or-Treating! While she’s not seeking the latest fashion, she will tolerate us in wearing Halloween costumes. She’s been a unicorn and a tiger–the kids love it! Everyone thinks she’s super cute, so they get extra candy!
She Always Wants to Be With Us
The thing I love about Mochachino is that she always wants to be with us. She loves to cuddle up on the couch, loves to sneak onto the foot of the bed. She will hang out on the rug in the office, basking in the sun, while I write for work. She wants to be with you, but she isn’t demanding, if you’re busy, she gets it, she just calmly hang out, grateful to be in your company. If you have to leave, that’s okay, too! She will wait patiently for you, she doesn’t fuss, just takes the opportunity to snooze on the couch.

Pivot
Shimmer made the journey, with her uncle, Pivot (Rosie/Kyle), up to Wisconsin to be a breeding dog for Roo Roo Ratties. We are so excited to see what these two pups bring to their breeding program!
