Why We Love Her
Chickadee is a firecracker. She has a beautiful blend of clever and fiery, that’s balanced with her loving and cuddly nature. She’s always been my daughter’s dog and sleeps with her at night and attends her online homeschool classes with her (she’s getting pretty smart in physics).
From the beginning, Chickadee has always been on the smaller side. As a puppy she was the smallest in her litter, but she has never let her size get in the way. She keeps up with everyone and the puppies follow her around, as she is great at teaching them the ropes. She loves her bones, and always has perfectly clean teeth from all the chewing.
Temperament & Personality
Chickadee is a total character. She is funny, she has a look she’ll give you for everything, if she wants some cheese, if she thinks you’re not sharing your popcorn enough, and if she wants to sit in your lap.
She is great with the puppies, even checking in on the other puppies from other moms.
Color & Health
Chickadee is considered a Blue Tri Piebald (white with patches of color). Her coloring allows her to throw diluted dogs if bred with a diluted stud. She carries chocolate and black, which can throw those colors if bred to a stud who isn’t double dilute. We generally plan breeding her to Joey.
Chickadee is clear of all genetic abnormalities we can test for. She has good hips and elbows.
What She Brings to the Program
From a breeding standpoint, Chickadee is a great mom. She is very attentive with her puppies, taking excellent care of them. She has smaller litters, usually 2-3 puppies, but we expect that with her smaller size. She is athletic, healthy, and her puppies get these wonderful traits.
Chickadee is Dakotah’s Dog
Chickadee has been Dakotah’s dog since the day she was born. Dakotah was little at the time, nearly 7 and she adored little Chickadee, carrying her around everywhere. She is such a great dog and when Dakotah isn’t home, she often sits in the window and waits for her. She considers me an inferior replacement to Dakotah, but tolerable 😂.
She Always Wants to Be With Us
You can take Chickadee anywhere. She comes with us on all sorts of adventures, while Culver’s ice cream may be her favorite, she does great in Home Depot, trick-or-treating (we even dress her up), she’s great in the car, and she’s always fun when the kids bring their friends over. She is such an easy, confident dog. We are pretty sure in her mind she believes she’s a big dog, but she knows how to climb into your lap and steal your heart.

Roux
Roux is an up and coming female in our program and she’s a daughter out of Joey and Chickadee. She is on the smaller side, we expect her to continue the tiny line that Chickadee offers. And gosh, does she have beautiful structure!
