Available Puppies

Cody – $800 – Blue Tri Piebald Rat Terrier – Sold

DOB: 7 October 2024 | Ready to Go Late November

Cody is very balanced, he has a lot of play, but he also loves to sit with you. I’ll often catch him watching me from the puppy pen, he has curiosity in his gaze, but also a pinch of assessment, as if he’s determining if I’m doing things to standard. I love his quizzical nature and desire to be involved. He would thrive in a home where he gets to spend a good amount of time with his family. He isn’t needy, so he would be okay home alone for a while, but he sure does love the company of people. If you had a doggy door for him to go outside to bask in the sun and then a lap he can later sneak into, he’d be as happy as they come.

Upcoming Litters

Is your new family member almost here?

Below are our upcoming planned litters. Sometimes it’s nice to jump on the list for a new pup in advance, this gives you plenty of time to prepare and get ready for your new pup, making the transition easier and more enjoyable!

When you’re ready to move forward with getting your Bear Paw Rattie, fill out the puppy application! It isn’t pass or fail, but it is designed to help us better understand your needs so we can align with with the perfect pup for you!

Chickadee & Joey

Spring 2025

Joey

Miskeena

Temperament & Drive

Chickadee is a fantastic mama dog. She is very attentive with her puppies and they thrive from it. Previous pups from this breeding pair have been very social, loving people’s company (have a lap they can sleep on?). They want to be with you, and enjoy what you’re doing, but they’re able to entertain themselves enough that you don’t have to worry about leaving the house to go to work or run errands.

Size, Colors, & Patterns

This is our smallest breeding pair. We expect mini and standard Rat Terrier pups in this litter. The girls will be 10-13″ at the shoulder, while the males, 12-15″ at the shoulder. Weights will vary from 12-18 lbs.

We can get blue tri or fawn tri puppies in this litter and we expect 75% to be blue tris and 25% to be fawn tris. We also have 50% chance of both Irish (tuxedo) and Piebald (primarily white with patches) for patterns.

Ideal Home

These pups will be the perfect compact companions, game for anything, whether that means binging Netflix with you on a rainy day, in your lap in the recliner, staring at you while you get your computer work done, or going for an evening walk to grab a little fresh air.

They’ll do well with children or retirees living the relaxed life. They’re easy to train and eager to please. Chickadee is my 12-year-old daughter’s dog.

Mochachino & Joey

Planned Spring 2025

We have two female and two male reservation spots available.

Joey

Mochachino

Temperament & Drive

We expect very emotionally intelligent puppies out of this litter. Both Mocha and Joey do very well reading emotions and being in tune with their people. Sometimes I can just look at Mocha and she knows what I’m thinking. Joey is lower on his drive to hunt mice and prefers to hang out with us any time he can.

Joey

Miskeena

Temperament & Drive

We expect very balanced and confident pups out of this breeding. Miskeena is very astute and we expect her to pass that on to her pups, but Joey’s playfulness will mellow them out to being wonderful family dogs.
